Material Donations

Women on the Rise operates a fabulous, free boutique which we call 'The Distro Room'.  This service is volunteer-run and open to all women and people of other marginalized genders.

Please consider donating your gently-used clothes, shoes, and outerwear for babies, kids, and adults. Cribs, strollers, pack & plays, and other supplies for young children are always appreciated, and diapers and wet wipes are in high demand! We also accept toys that are in good working condition.

To address our mandate of encouraging accessibility and breaking down barriers of isolation, we are now accepting donations of tech devices like phones, tablets, and laptops that will be distributed on a needs-based priority system.

Donations can be made from 10 am to 1 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Please leave us a voice message or email in advance if you need to pass by outside of regular donation hours. Thank you for your generosity!

  • Translating documents from English to French and other languages

  • Providing translation services for participants during activities and individual consultations, either in person or over the phone (some languages we need help with include Haitian Creole, Spanish, Turkish, and Persian)

  • Light administrative duties in our office

  • Lending your expertise to our programming- if you have an idea for a workshop, please let us know!

  • Helping to plan our events and fundraisers
